Long queues and longer waiting time at the supermarket checkout are an unavoidable part of supermarket shopping using current technology. Queuing and long waits can make the customer feel negative about the outlet's service, efficiency, quality and reliability.

This project was a final year project done in late 1998 at the Industrial Design Program at the Faculty of the Built Environment at the University of New South Wales in Australia.
At the end of the project Ms Le Tong graduated and the demostration model was taken apart.
Unfortunately the Industrial Design Program at the Faculty of the Built Environment at the University of New South Wales in Australia has no further record of this project.
